Job summary

Yoh is seeking a QA Tester for Android/Linux systems in Palo Alto. You will validate functionality, performance, and stability across multimedia, connectivity, and core platform features, and execute manual, exploratory, and regression tests.

You will troubleshoot using logs, journalctl, and Linux tools; document defects with clear steps; and maintain test environments, collaborating with developers and QA teams to ensure high-quality releases.

Qualifications

• Experience developing and executing manual test plans, including smoke testing, regression testing, and validation of high-risk scenarios such as system state changes, updates, and power cycles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Android and/or Linux-based systems, including familiarity with system behavior, debugging, and validation.
• Proficiency working in Linux environments (CLI, logs, journalctl, basic networking, permissions) for troubleshooting and test execution.
• Experience testing complex systems such as consumer electronics, mobile devices, embedded systems, or similar platforms.
• Ability to triage issues effectively and write high-quality bug reports that are actionable for engineering teams.
• Experience with hardware/software integration, including device setup, flashing builds, and end-to-end feature validation.
• Familiarity with log analysis and debugging tools for identifying system-level issues.
• Must be onsite in Palo Alto.

Estimated Min Rate: $60.00

Estimated Max Rate: $90.00
