Job summary

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in software testing or test automation.
• Strong understanding of functional and exploratory testing.
• Experience developing or maintaining automated tests using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, etc.
• Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, pytest) and CI/CD integration.
• Strong documentation, organization, and communication skills.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity.
• Desire to learn new testing technologies and best practices.

Job description

At Sirona Medical, we’re building software that enables physicians to work as fast as they can think.

Sirona is a San Francisco‑based, cloud‑native software company that has built RadOS, a unified AI‑powered operating system for radiology workflows.

Software Quality Engineers at Sirona are responsible for upholding the high quality of our products by building automated testing solutions and identifying solutions to improve product quality. They work closely with engineering teams to develop scalable automated tests using modern testing frameworks and AI‑assisted development tools, helping ensure quality is built into every release.

This is a hybrid role working out of our Cincinnati, OH or Burlington, VT office a minimum of 3 days each week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for web applications and APIs using modern testing frameworks.
• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools to rapidly create, maintain, and improve automated test coverage.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to clarify requirements and ensure test coverage.
• Build and enhance automated testing frameworks for frontend and backend services.
• Execute and analyze automated test runs; identify defects, perform root‑cause analysis, and validate fixes.
• Partner with developers to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and improve test reliability.
• Participate in design reviews to identify opportunities for improving testability and automation.
• Work alongside software engineers to continuously improve engineering quality and reduce manual testing.
• Investigate production issues and develop automated regression tests to prevent future occurrences.
• Continuously evaluate emerging AI technologies and testing tools to improve engineering productivity.

Key Requirements:

• 1–3 years of experience in software testing, software engineering, or test automation.
• Strong understanding of functional and exploratory testing methodologies.
• Experience developing or maintaining automated tests (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, etc.).
• Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, pytest, etc.) and integration into CI/CD environments.
• Strong organizational and communication skills to produce and maintain clear documentation.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a passion for improving software quality through automation.
• Experience using AI‑assisted development tools (Claude Code, Codex or similar) to improve engineering productivity.
• Desire to continuously learn new testing technologies and software engineering practices.

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with data validation and analytics testing for backend services.
• Experience with Playwright (preferred).
• Experience working with GitHub Actions or other CI/CD platforms.
• Exposure to cloud technologies such as AWS.
• Experience in or exposure to regulated or healthcare environments preferred.

The annual US base salary for this full‑time position is $85,000 + equity + benefits.
