Genuine Parts Company is offering a Software Engineer - QA Analyst Intern position in Birmingham, AL. The internship focuses on software quality assurance, testing methodologies, and developing automated test scripts to ensure the high quality of Motion IT applications.

As an intern, you will prepare and execute automated tests, identify defects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet quality objectives.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing BS or BA in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
Basic understanding of application configuration, maintenance, and support.
Working knowledge of Java and SQL
Working knowledge of structured application development and change control methodologies.
Familiarize with relational database methodology.
Good verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team environment.
Must be self-motivated and know when to seek guidance.
Capable of learning new tools and technologies and adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred: Experience with Selenium, Karate, mabl or other automated testing tools.

Responsibilities

Assist in defining, developing, maintaining, executing, and documenting automated test scripts.
Assist in testing software applications.
Support identifying, documenting, and logging defects.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and quality objectives.
