Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Roy, UT, is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to support one or more software development Scrum teams on the GBSD program. You will help ensure process execution and efficiencies in development, testing, and release of software deliverables.

The role requires a DoD Secret clearance and involves working on a high-stakes defense program with opportunities for growth, a standard 9/80 schedule, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with a minimum 2 years of related experience; 1 year with Masters.
• Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
• Experience using metrics for process health and performance monitoring
• Experience in prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines
• Experience evaluating, tracing, and analysis of requirements
• Software development lifecycle experience

Responsibilities

• Support individual scrum/sprint teams by attending meetings and creating Jira dashboard tools to help monitor progress and execution efficiency.
• Understand process health, progress and stability metrics when required
• Become fluent in the use of tools; Jira, Confluence, Jazz, DOORS or others as needed
• Be a constructive advocate for Mission Assurance and relentlessly articulate our Value Proposition to our stakeholders
• Ensure GBSD software is in compliance with industry guidelines and contractual requirements for development of military weapon systems. Maintain a keen focus on employee engagement, teaming and collaboration, process improvement, rework reduction, and continuous improvement.
