Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer in Roy, UT to support the GBSD program. You will work with one or more Scrum teams, focusing on process execution, testing, and release of software deliverables.

Requires a Bachelor's in STEM with at least 2 years of related experience (1 year with a Masters) and an active DoD Secret clearance. Experience with metrics, prioritization, and lifecycle processes is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with a minimum 2 years of related experience; 1 year with Masters
• Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain SAP approval within a reasonable period of time
• Experience using metrics for process health and performance monitoring
• Experience in prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines
• Experience evaluating, tracing, and analysis of requirements
• Software development lifecycle experience

Responsibilities

• Support one or more software development Scrum teams on the GBSD or other SDS programs, ensuring process execution and efficiencies in development, testing, and release of software deliverables
• Attend meetings, create Jira dashboard tools to monitor progress and execution efficiency
• Suggest improvements to software leadership and monitor process health and metrics
• Familiarize with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Jazz, DOORS or others as needed
• Advocate for Mission Assurance and articulate the Value Proposition to stakeholders
• Ensure GBSD software compliance with industry guidelines and contractual requirements for military weapon systems
• Maintain focus on employee engagement, teamwork, and continuous improvement
