Ideal candidates are pursuing a CS/CE/IS degree and want real-world experience in software validation, bug tracking, and regression testing in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/IS or related field.
• Eligible to work in the USA long term without sponsorship.
• Hybrid in-office and work-from-home internship in Louisville, KY for Summer 2027.
• Experience with software testing basics and bug tracking desirable.

Responsabilités

• Perform manual validation to ensure modules meet specifications and end-user requirements.
• Follow bug tracking processes across the development cycle and document issues clearly.
• Review logs to identify root causes and assist in debugging with senior QA staff.
• Design and execute test plans, and communicate defects to close issues.
• Support QA team in learning software functionality and testing methods.

Toyota Automated Logistics is seeking a Software QA Co-op who will fulfill an in-person rotation in Louisville, KY for the Summer 2027 term.

Job Overview

Toyota Automated Logistics is seeking a creative, talented, up and coming software professionals who are eager to learn, enjoy challenges, and looking to jump start their career in Software QA.

We develop state of the art Warehouse Management Software. We are seeking future Software QA Testers with a background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or IT to come join us for their internship in order to gain real world experience.

Exacta is our proprietary software created in house at Toyota Automated Logistics. Our Co-ops begin in the QA department doing manual integrated testing for existing, modified, or custom software to be implemented for our clients. Testing the software will give an introduction to our software and learn its functionality and purpose. You will have exposure to technical tools including MS Visual Studio/Team Foundation Server, MS Office, Hyper-V or VMware, Windows Server, and Oracle.

Job Functions

• Complete software validation, ensuring that all software modules meet functional specifications, design documents, and end user requirements.
• Understanding the bug tracking process throughout our development cycle; demonstrating attention to details in identifying issues with the Exacta product enhancement.
• Ability to look through the logs to distinguish where the issue may be.
• Diving into issues to understand true root cause, and then working with senior level quality assurance team members to fix any bugs in the software.
• Design and execute test plans; communicating bugs and working with other team members to close the loop on open issues.

Travel Requirements

• Less than 10% overnight travel (Travel expenses paid by Toyota Automated Logistics)
• Must maintain a valid driver's license

Required Qualifications And Preferred Skills

• Must be eligible to work in the USA long term without sponsorship.
• Please note this role is not offered completely remote as our company has adopted a hybrid work model (work in office and work from home) and will require interns to be in Louisville, KY or surrounding areas for the duration of the internship.
• In pursuit of their Bachelors degree, preferably in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Classroom work or independent experience using Microsoft SQL.
• Classroom work or independent experience testing software.
• Eager to learn new languages. Interest in learning SQL Server
• Strong quality control and computer skills including ability to learn how to manually deploy and test software.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn
