Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of software development experience with 3+ years in managing software projects/teams.
• Proven track record delivering complex technical projects on schedule and budget.
• Strong understanding of software lifecycles (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).
• Experience with JIRA, MS Project, Confluence; PMP/PMI-ACP/CSM certification preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full software project lifecycle from planning to delivery for flight software and ground systems.
• Direct a cross-functional team of software engineers and test engineers across multiple domains.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, resources, scope, and baselines.
• Track milestones, manage risks, and report status, metrics, and forecasts to leadership.
• Serve as primary software point of contact for internal stakeholders and customers.
• Foster collaboration and continuous improvement across the organization.
• Lead bi-weekly sprint planning and related Agile ceremonies.

Intuitive Machines is seeking a results-driven Software Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex software projects for flight-critical and mission-critical aerospace systems. This role blends technical understanding, program leadership, and stakeholder management to deliver high-quality software on schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Project Leadership: Lead the full software project lifecycle from planning through delivery for flight software, ground systems, and support tools.
• Team Leadership: Lead a cross-functional team of software engineers and test engineers across flight, ground, and simulation domains.
• Project Management:
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
  • Manage scope, change control, and requirements baselines
  • Track progress against milestones, manage risks, and drive issue resolution.
  • Report project status, metrics, and forecasts to leadership and program management
• Project Designated Lead: Serve as the primary software point of contact for internal stakeholders and external customers. Support all project meetings.
• Collaboration: Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, promoting knowledge sharing, teamwork, and continuous improvement across the organization.
• Agile Development: Responsible for leading bi-weekly software sprint planning with key stakeholders and software platform leads along with sprint kickoff/closeout meetings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software/Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in software development experience, with 3+ years managing software projects/teams.
• Proven track record delivering complex technical projects on schedule and budget
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid)
• Experience with project management tools (JIRA, MS Project, Confluence)
• Preferred PMP, PMI-ACP, or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
