Job summary

Intuitive Machines is seeking a Software Quality and Test Lead Engineer to drive QA and verification for flight-critical software in our space missions. You will lead the comms software team, shape testing strategies, and ensure safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance across programs.

Responsibilities include design reviews, sprint planning, risk mitigation, and rigorous documentation of requirements, designs, test plans, and reports, while mentoring engineers and fostering collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE; Master’s preferred.
• 7+ years in aerospace/space vehicle software with a comm focus.
• Proven leadership of software development projects from concept to delivery.
• Strong C/C++, Python and RTOS experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead Comm Software Development: design, development, integration and testing of comm software systems.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the comm software team, ensuring best practices and compliance.
• Conduct performance reviews and support career development for team members.
• Collaborate to analyze and define software requirements related to mission objectives and performance.
• Oversee coding and implementation of comm software using C/C++, Python, and embedded tools.
• Establish verification and validation procedures including simulation, testing, and debugging.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies for comm software projects.
• Prepare and maintain documentation: requirements, designs, interfaces, test plans, reports.
• Foster collaboration and continuous improvement across the organization.
• Participate in bi-weekly software sprint planning and resource management.
