Job summary

RTX (Raytheon Technologies) in Richardson, TX, is seeking a Software Platform Intern to join the Raytheon Fellowship Program for summer 2027. The role supports development, deployment, maintenance of state-of-the-art systems, and involves collaboration on intelligence-related platforms for national defense.

Selected students will pursue a national security clearance and may receive signing bonuses, with later conversion potential to full-time employment.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree and enrolled through internship/co-op.
• Must have at least 30 credit hours by start of internship/co-op.
• Experience applying basic engineering principles and working in teams.
• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Support software platform development, deployment, and maintenance for customer missions.
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps activities using scripting and programming skills.
• Assist in documenting requirements and systems engineering artifacts.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve project goals.
• Leverage cloud technologies for platform optimization and integration.
• Contribute to infrastructure automation and operations concepts.
