Software Operations Engineer - Night Shift

Location: Greencastle, PA – Onsite

Employment type: Permanent

Base pay range: $88,000.00/yr – $91,000.00/yr

Overview

TXM are recruiting on behalf of a leading Automation & intralogistics provider to join a distribution facility in Greencastle, PA. As a Software Operations Engineer, you will use your software & programming experience to keep the fast‑paced facility operating at full capacity, perform essential software maintenance, fix bugs, and ensure all facility control systems run correctly.

Responsibilities

• 12.5‑hour shifts (5 pm – 5:30 am) – 2‑2‑3 (Panama) schedule; may change based on customer/site needs
• Strong knowledge of Linux, SQL & Oracle, with ability to run commands and troubleshoot/bug‑fix
• Experience with Java, C++ or Python; ideally scripting/coding skills
• Responsibility for the site’s ITIL systems
• Analyze systems to enable continuous growth, focusing on root‑cause analysis and machine performance
• Collaborate with Logistics Operations Manager to plan work aligned with business goals
• Participate in process and operational redesign

Qualifications

• Programming experience across Linux, Java, Oracle, SQL & C++
• Knowledge of WMS, WCS and SRC
• Experience in warehousing/distribution/fulfillment or consumer goods within a fast‑paced environment
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Continuous improvement mindset with ability to implement new strategies
• Eligibility to work in the USA without visa sponsorship
