Job summary

You will mentor staff, manage code repositories and releases including documentation artifacts, and collaborate with a Business Analyst to translate requirements into robust software solutions.

Qualifications

• 84 months leading teams of 5-10 staff to deliver solutions using agile methodologies and leading development sprints and mentoring and coaching developers and fostering a culture of code quality, including conducting effective code reviews
• 84 months experience in Java, Spring, Spring Security, and JPA/Hibernate writing high-performance, maintainable, and secure code
• 84 months of experience in SDLC and tools to include Agile/Scrum methodologies, GitLab CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and testing frameworks
• 84 months of experience translating architectural decisions and documentation into code using design patterns where appropriate
• 84 months of experience proactively identifying and addressing technical debt, leading refactoring, and using SonarQube and code quality scanning
• 84 months experience implementing authentication/authorization using OAuth, SAML and AD
• 84 months of experience writing and automating tests with JUnit or Selenium
• 84 months of experience with re-platforming applications from TomCat to Openshift

Responsibilities

• Guide development teams in an agile environment and mentor staff
• Validate deliverables and manage code repositories and releases including documentation artifacts
• Collaborate with Business Analysts to ensure alignment with solution architecture
• Lead architectural discussions and improve code quality through reviews and refactoring
• Address technical debt and drive platform migrations (e.g., Tomcat to OpenShift)
