Job summary

Applied Intuition is seeking a Software Integration Engineer in Sunnyvale, CA to champion end-to-end integration across our vehicle software stack. You will work across software and hardware to ensure seamless integration, from workstation through SIL/HIL to target hardware, including ARXML against AUTOSAR RTE contracts.

You will define target use-cases with customers and own the integration project to completion.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with Linux and Bash scripting.
• Proficiency in embedded C/C++ programming.
• 2+ years of experience in software integration or development.
• Degree in CS/Engineering/Mechatronics or related discipline.
• Understanding of electronic systems and debugging them.
• Experience with CI/CD and large software projects.
• Experience with ARXML and ARXML integration against RTE contracts.
• Experience with automotive protocols CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet, FlexRay, PSI5.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Knowledge of AUTOSAR Classic Platform architecture.

Job description

• We're looking for a Software Integration Engineer who can champion the delivery of features across our vehicle software stack
• This role works across software and hardware to ensure the full system integrates seamlessly for customer delivery - from workstation and SIL through HIL and target hardware, including integrating customer SWCs against our generated AUTOSAR RTE
• Deliver full-system features spanning software and hardware that meet customer requirements
• Work with customers and our business team to define target use-cases and requirement, then own the integration project to completion
• Work cross-functionally with product, software, mechanical, and electrical teams to develop and deploy systems
• Develop a deep understanding of the full system architecture and how software and hardware components interact
• Integrate customer-delivered SWC ARXML against the generated AUTOSAR RTE contract and runtime, taking a component from an either black-box/white-box app to running ECU code
• Work with the validation team to verify and integrate components, troubleshooting issues to ensure reliability across SIL, HIL, and target

Familiarity with Linux development and Bash scripting.

Proficiency in embedded C/C++ programming.

2+ years of experience in software integration or development.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.

An understanding of electronic systems and how to set up and debug them.

• Experience developing software for large projects (CI/CD, release process, etc.).
• Experience with POSIX-based adaptive AUTOSAR: ara::com, service-oriented communication, execution management.
• Experience reading or authoring ARXML, and integrating a black-box application against a generated Rte_* contract (headers, types, mocks).
• Experience working automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet, FlexRay, SENT, PSI5.
• Comfortable programming in Python.
• Working knowledge of the AUTOSAR Classic Platform layered architecture: SWCs, the Virtual Functional Bus, ports/interfaces, runnables, and RTE events.
