Job summary

Journal Technologies is seeking a Junior Software Implementation Specialist to join our implementation team. You will deliver contracted products and services, including reports, business rules, and software configuration, and act as a primary customer interface.

You will configure, train, and support clients across environments, work within Java-based stacks, and collaborate in a Scrum team while traveling to client sites as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 1+ years of professional experience querying relational databases (T‑SQL or PL/SQL preferred).
• Experience with software implementation projects or similar environments is a plus.
• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server/Oracle, JasperReports/Crystal Reports, SSRS, Java, Groovy, Velocity could help.

Responsibilities

• Configure case management software, including forms, searches, workflows, and business rules using Groovy and Velocity.
• Gather requirements for data conversions, documents, and reports; support development, testing, and review.
• Conduct client training and provide onsite go-live assistance.
• Troubleshoot technical and procedural issues and escalate blockers as needed.
• Work with Java, Windows Server, relational databases, and REST/SOAP APIs.
• Manage assigned work and status updates in Jira.
• Collaborate within a Scrum team and communicate with clients and internal stakeholders.
