Job summary

Journal Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Junior Software Implementation Specialist to drive software rollout projects from requirements gathering to go-live. You will configure case management software, coordinate with clients, and perform onsite training as needed.

The role requires 1+ years of relational database experience and familiarity with Java, Groovy, Velocity, and REST/SOAP APIs. Travel to client sites is expected as part of project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 1+ years of professional experience querying relational databases (T-SQL or PL/SQL).
• Experience with software implementations or similar projects preferred.
• Knowledge of Java, Groovy, Velocity, and REST/SOAP APIs.
• Familiarity with Windows Server environments and web technologies.

Responsibilities

• Configure case management software, including forms, searches, workflows, and business rules using Groovy and Velocity.
• Gather requirements for data conversions, documents, and reports; support development, testing, and review.
• Conduct client training and provide onsite go-live assistance.
• Troubleshoot technical and procedural issues and escalate blockers as needed.
• Work with Java, Windows Server environments, relational databases, and REST/SOAP APIs.
• Manage assigned work and status updates in Jira.
• Collaborate within a Scrum team and communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
