Job summary

Raytheon Software Engineering is seeking a seasoned software engineering leader to join our organization as the Software Foundations Lead. In this critical role, you will drive the establishment and continuous improvement of software development processes, implement comprehensive metrics frameworks, and lead cost estimation methodologies across our engineering organization.

Qualifications

BS/BA in STEM and 12+ years of experience.
Experience across all phases of the software development lifecycle.
Experience with Agile (Scrum, SAFe) and DevOps.
Experience with software project management or program management.
Experience with software project cost and schedule in government contracting environments.
Active and current Secret security clearance is required; U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

Responsibilities

Lead the establishment and continuous improvement of software development processes.
Implement comprehensive metrics frameworks and cost estimation methodologies.
Advise engineering teams, product managers, and leadership to optimize software delivery and quality.
Drive adoption of flow-based measures and predictive feedback for program leaders.
Develop and coordinate automation and reporting to provide visibility into performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align software delivery with business objectives.
