Job summary

Raytheon, through its Software Engineering organization, seeks a seasoned Software Foundations Lead to establish and improve software development processes, implement metrics, and lead cost estimation methods across the engineering organization.

You will advise engineering teams, product managers, and executives to optimize software delivery, quality, and estimation accuracy. This strategic role requires deep technical expertise and strong leadership to drive flow-based measures across programs.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math with 12+ years of experience.
• Experience across all phases of the software lifecycle.
• Active Secret clearance required on day 1; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead software process leadership and refine development processes (Agile, DevOps, CI/CD).
• Establish standards and governance for code quality, testing and deployment.
• Drive process improvement initiatives and cost estimation adoption.
• Collaborate with chief engineers and leadership to align practices across projects.
• Define metrics and dashboards for software effectiveness and visibility.
