Job summary

Motion Recruitment is recruiting for a Software Engineering Manager to lead a 6-10 person development team building a SaaS platform for financial services. You will oversee code reviews, architecture guidance, and ticket handling, while driving modernization, AI capabilities, and scalable event-driven design with Kafka across the platform.

The role supports a remote hybrid setup with 3 days onsite in Minneapolis, MN or Coppell, TX, and requires strong leadership and hands-on experience in .NET

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in software development.
• Experience with C# .NET.
• 2+ years of experience managing developers.
• Experience with authentications, SSO, MFA, IAM, etc.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of 6-10 developers responsible for the platform handling customer relationships, data, and integrations.
• Provide code reviews and architectural/design input; step in to handle tickets when needed.
• Drive modernization efforts, AI-driven capabilities, and scalable architecture (including Kafka and .NET microservices).
• Coordinate with distributed teams and prioritize delivery and quality.

A SaaS company that provides customer operating systems for financial services organizations is looking for a Software Engineering Manager to join their team. You'll oversee a team of 6-10 developers who are responsible for the platform that handles customer relationships, data, and integrations. The company is moving to invest heavily in modernization, AI-driven capabilities, and scaling. Ideal candidates have recent hands on and management experience. While you won't be coding day to day, you'll be expected to handle code reviews, provide insight in architecture and design, step in to handle tickets yourself, while prioritizing managing a distributed team. They're currently looking to expand .NET microservices and event-driven architecture, and implement Kafka across their platform. Experience in both is needed, and any experience in identity access management, MFA, SSO, and authentications is a big plus.

This role is remote hybrid, 3 days onsite in either Minneapolis, MN or Coppell, TX.
