Software Engineering Senior Advisors - Hybrid (Finance)

This position is for a Software Engineering Senior Advisor, a Band 4 Contributor Career Track Role with Cigna - Evernorth Services Inc.

Responsibilities

1. Build scalable and robust software applications, contributing to full stack development for web portals.
2. Serve as the technical lead for designing, developing, and modifying distributed systems.
3. Implement solutions and architecture to ensure applications are extensible, simple, optimal, and scalable.
4. Identify and implement process enhancements, including "tech debt" removal.
5. Create detailed specifications or designs, conduct QA reviews, and mentor team members.
6. Contribute to the design and development of APIs that meet business needs.
7. Drive continuous improvement to enhance quality and business value.
8. Provide technical guidance for complex components across multiple technology suites.
9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams of full stack engineers on software design, development, and testing.
10. Support development of standard practices and guidelines for complex technology components.
11. Resolve urgent and high-priority production incidents, identifying root causes and driving resolution.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in computers or engineering.
2. At least four years of related experience.
3. Experience with the full software development lifecycle, including project planning, design, development, testing, and implementation.
4. Experience with sprint planning, monitoring, and cross-team coordination.
5. Ability to identify bottlenecks and design architectural solutions.
6. Experience creating reusable assets for multiple applications.
7. Proficiency in programming languages: Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring JPA, Servlets, Struts.
8. Experience with technologies: JSP, JavaScript, JQuery, AngularJS, ReactJS, Redux, Ajax, CSS, NodeJS, and databases like Oracle, DB2, MySQL, Teradata, MongoDB, Postgres.
9. Familiarity with cloud and container platforms: PCF, AWS, OpenShift.
