Job description

The job profile for this position is Software Engineering Senior Advisor, which is a Band 4 Contributor Career Track Role with Cigna-Evernorth Services Inc.

Responsibilities

1. Build scalable and robust software applications that contribute to full stack development to continue building out web portals;
2. Be the technical lead for the design, development, and modification of distributed systems;
3. Implement solutions and architecture to ensure software applications are extensible, simple, optimal, and scalable;
4. Identify and implement process enhancement opportunities associated with supporting the application area, including "tech debt" removal when possible;
5. Create detailed specifications or designs, conduct quality assurance reviews of peers' application programming, and mentor others;
6. Contribute to the design and development of APIs that fulfill business needs and provide value to the enterprise;
7. Implement continuous improvement efforts to ensure quality and enhance business value;
8. Provide technical guidance for complex components across multiple technology suites;
9. Work with a cross-functional team of full stack engineers responsible for software design, development, and testing;
10. Support the development of standard practices, components, and guidelines for complex technology components;
11. Resolve urgent and high-priority production incidents and lead root cause analysis and resolution actions.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in computers or engineering;
2. Four years of experience in a related occupation;
3. Experience integrating and delivering multiple applications following the software development lifecycle;
4. Experience with project planning, design, development, testing, and implementation of code modules;
5. Experience with Sprint planning, daily monitoring, and cross-team coordination;
6. Experience in designing architectural solutions and creating reusable assets;
7. Proficiency with programming languages including Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring JPA, Servlets, and Struts;
8. Experience with technologies such as JSP, JavaScript, JQuery, Angular JS, React JS, Redux, Ajax, CSS, NodeJS, databases like Oracle, DB2, MySQL, Teradata, MongoDB, Postgres, and cloud platforms like PCF, AWS, OpenShift.
