Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Software Engineering Manager 2 – SW Development Lead to join the team in San Diego, CA or Oklahoma City, OK. The role leads 10–20 engineers through the full SDLC in an Agile setting, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to contract requirements.

Primary qualifications include STEM degrees and 4–9+ years in related engineering, strong Agile experience, and proficiency in C/C++/Java/Python.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM with 9 years of related engineering experience, or Master’s with 7 years, or PhD with 4 years.
• Experience leading Agile development including Product Owner and/or Scrum Master roles.
• Experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience with developing software for real-time, safety-critical, medical, or mission-critical applications.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Java, and Python.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 10–20 to complete the full SDLC in an Agile environment.
• Plan, execute, and deliver SW products meeting cost, schedule, and technical requirements as a work package manager.
• Report Agile metrics and EVMS status to program leadership, communicating risks.
• Collaborate with Software Development, Systems Engineering, Test Automation, DevOps, and Systems Test teams to meet objectives.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring; manage career development and onboarding.
