  • Drive the technical design and implementation of proprietary finance oversight and process automation systems supporting accounting, fund operations, reporting, and regulatory workflows.
  • Partner with Finance, Treasury, Operations, Data Engineering, and technology stakeholders to shape requirements, priorities, and roadmap trade‑offs.
  • Operate as a player‑coach by managing and mentoring engineers while remaining hands‑on in solution design, architecture reviews, delivery planning, and complex problem solving.
  • Establish and enforce engineering best practices across system design, code quality, CI/CD, testing automation, observability, security, and production operations.
  • Drive modernization initiatives across cloud, microservices, APIs, workflow orchestration, and distributed systems architecture.
  • Oversee integration across general ledger platforms, data warehouses, ETL pipelines, reporting infrastructure, and downstream operational systems.
  • Collaborate with Information Security and Risk teams to ensure platforms meet internal controls, audit requirements, regulatory standards, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Improve operational maturity through monitoring, incident management, performance optimization, capacity planning, and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Recruit, retain, and develop top engineering talent while creating strong career development pathways across the organization.
Qualifications
  • 15+ years of experience in software engineering, enterprise platform development, or financial systems technology, including significant engineering leadership experience.
  • Proven experience leading teams that deliver enterprise‑grade finance, accounting, treasury, or fund operations technology platforms.
  • Strong hands‑on background in application architecture, distributed systems, APIs, cloud‑native development, platform engineering, and modern delivery practices.
  • Experience managing senior stakeholder expectations, clarify ambiguity, and make pragmatic trade‑offs while maintaining technical reliability.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise systems integration, including general ledger platforms, ETL frameworks, data warehousing technologies, and financial reporting systems.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing, observability, DevSecOps, and production operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field; advanced degree preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in private equity, asset management, alternative investments, or financial services.
  • Familiarity with fund accounting, treasury operations, financial controls, and regulatory reporting.
  • Experience with modern cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Background working with enterprise financial platforms such as SAP, Oracle Financials, Workday Financials, or proprietary ledger systems.
  • Experience leading globally distributed engineering organizations and large‑scale technology transformation programs.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, financial controls, and enterprise security frameworks.
