Sigma Defense is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to join our team in Mount Laurel, NJ. You will lead a group of software engineers to design and maintain software that implements instrumentation radars and threat radar models.

Apply your 5+ years of software management and 10+ years of software development experience to drive process improvements and deliver high-quality software on time. A U.S. citizen is required and an active security clearance may be sponsored.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a software manager leading a team of software developers in an engineering environment.
• 10+ years experience developing software.
• Experience implementing and improving software development processes.
• Demonstrated experience leading software development in support of business goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of software engineers to design and maintain software that implements instrumentation radars and threat radar models.
• Provide day-to-day technical and task leadership for a team of software engineers, ensuring delivery of high-quality software on cost, schedule, and technical performance.
• Collaborate with program, system, and hardware managers to plan and execute projects.
• Work with program managers and leadership to plan project staffing for ongoing and upcoming projects.
• Mentor and coach engineers on technical growth, career development, and performance expectations.
• Interact with Sigma Defense QMS organization to implement ISO and CMMI requirements and support audits.
