Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• At least 2 years leading software engineering teams.
• Experience with platform, infrastructure, or developer-enablement teams.
• Proven track record of technical roadmaps balancing scope and reliability.
• Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management.
• Hands-on experience with C#, Java and modern .NET technologies; AWS and Kafka experience.
• Experience operating production systems with observability and reliability focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations for an engineering team including planning, prioritization, and delivery.
• Build and develop a high-performing team through hiring, onboarding, coaching, and feedback.
• Own your team’s platform roadmap balancing scalability, reliability, and developer experience.
• Collaborate across DraftKings to understand product strategies and technical constraints.
• Translate shared needs into reusable services, APIs, and self-service capabilities.
• Facilitate architectural discussions and guide decisions on service contracts and platform standards.
• Serve as the technical point of accountability and contribute to code reviews and troubleshooting.
• Promote reliability, performance, observability, security, and continuous improvement.
