Job summary

Bracco Medical Technologies is seeking a Manager, Software Engineering to lead a cross-functional team delivering industry‑leading medical device software. You will guide program execution, mentor engineers, and partner with architecture and program management to meet schedule, quality, and cost targets.

The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration across global teams, and a strong focus on Agile processes, development of talent, and continuous process improvement in a regulated setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years software development experience.
• 2+ years project management experience.
• 2+ years of people leadership experience.
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally with global teams.
• Experience with the Agile Development Process.
• Proven mentoring and coaching abilities.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Align software strategy with business goals and drive continuous improvement.
• Provide functional leadership including talent development and coaching.
• Develop strategy to recruit and grow a high-performing engineering team.
• Collaborate with Program Management to set priorities and resource programs.
• Work with Principal architect to ensure code meets requirements.
• Work with SW Director to optimize throughput and quality.
• Ensure milestones are met and solutions meet high quality.
• Foster a creative, engaging environment while solving tough challenges for customers.
• Lead change for unstructured product and system design issues.
• Oversee participation in all phases of product development.
• Support existing products across engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, service, and supplier quality.
