Job summary

Bracco Medical Technologies is seeking a Manager of Software Engineering to lead a global R&D software team, align strategy with business goals, and drive high-quality, cost-efficient product programs. You will mentor leaders, recruit talent, and partner with architecture and program management to deliver on-time results.

This leadership role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration across facilities, robust Agile practices, and a focus on medical device software quality and regulatory

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years relevant software development experience.
• 2+ years project management experience.
• 2+ years of direct or indirect people leadership experience.
• Experience with Agile Development Process.
• Knowledge of medical device software and regulatory considerations.
• Experience with cloud development (Azure) and IoT technologies.
• Experience with security considerations in clinical settings.

Responsibilities

• Align the strategy and direction of the software team to business goals and drive continuous improvement.
• Provide functional leadership, coaching, mentoring, and career development.
• Identify competencies and develop a plan to recruit and develop high-performing engineers.
• Collaborate with Program Management to set priorities and resource programs.
• Collaborate with Principal Architect to develop code within architectural framework.
• Collaborate with SW Director to implement tools and processes to optimize throughput and quality.
• Ensure milestones are met and solutions meet quality standards.
• Lead change through creative solutions to unstructured product and system design issues.
• Support existing products across Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Service.
