Job summary

Mindex is seeking a SchoolTool Software Engineering Manager to lead multiple engineering teams in evolving the SchoolTool platform. This role blends people leadership, technical strategy, and operational excellence to deliver secure, scalable software for customers.

You will work with Product, UX, QA, Support, CloudOps, and other stakeholders to drive delivery, coach engineers, and advance modern software practices including AI-assisted development in a measurable way.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including leadership across multiple teams/workstreams.
• Proven experience coaching engineers and developing high-performing teams.
• Experience delivering enterprise software with active customers and regular releases.
• Strong background in software architecture, scalable design, and secure development.
• Experience with Microsoft .NET, C#, RESTful APIs, relational databases, and modern web app architecture.
• Experience with component-based UI development (Blazor, .NET MAUI) and design systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop multiple software engineering teams with regular feedback and mentorship.
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and high-quality delivery.
• Support hiring, onboarding, workforce planning, and succession planning.
• Drive delivery by managing priorities, debt, support, and modernization initiatives.
• Coordinate release planning, OKRs, cross-team initiatives, risk management, and readiness.
