The role emphasizes collaboration with product managers, analysts, and QA, with a strong focus on reducing technical debt and delivering on time in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 7+ years enterprise-level software development using Microsoft tech stack.
• Technical certifications are a plus (MCSD, MCPD).

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operational, maintenance, and project work within the Application Development team.
• Motivate and engage team members to foster excellence.
• Write SOLID code using TDD/BDD approaches.
• Design, code, configure, unit test, and deploy applications per specs.
• Collaborate in requirements sessions with analysts and end-users.
• Mentor and conduct code reviews for less senior developers.

As a Software Engineer Lead, you will be involved in all phases of software development, from requirements definition to production releases. You will be embedded in a cross-functional team of analysts, developers, product managers, and testing staff, collectively striving to quickly deliver high-quality, high-value software. This contrasts to most other environments where the culture encourages “throwing the code over the wall” for QA to test.
