Skyworks Solutions, Inc. invites qualified students to join its Software Engineering, SWR Internship within the Technology & Manufacturing group. You will work on creating custom Python applications, GUI development, API analysis, and unit tests as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Degree: Computer Science (College of Engineering).
• Experience with SQL databases.
• Strong Python and C++ programming skills.
• Length of internship: 9 months availability; Full time first 3 months, part time last 6 months.
• Familiarity with Git version control.
• Proficiency with IDEs for development and troubleshooting.
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, independent, proactive, detail oriented, team player.

Skyworks' Software Engineering, SWR Internships are offered in our Technology & Manufacturing (TMG) business group. Specific projects and responsibilities will be determined based on the business needs at the time of the internship assignment.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship by the Company.

Required Experience and Skills

• Degree: Computer Science (College of Engineering)

• Length of internship (9 months availability: Full time first 3 months, part time last 6 months)
• Familiarity with version control utilizing Git
• Strong familiarity with the use of IDEs for development and troubleshooting
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
• Strong understanding of algorithms and data-structures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated, independent, proactive, detail oriented, and responsible team-player

Desired Experience and Skills

• Experience working with containers or similar virtualization (Docker, Virtual Machines) is preferred
• Experience with unit tests is preferred

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $29.00 - $49.00 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $23.00 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
