Job summary

UEC is seeking a motivated intern to develop software for embedded devices and systems. You will analyze and monitor system performance, support quality assurance, and optimize I/O.

You’ll design core code running on hardware, requiring strong problem solving and collaboration with a global team. Applicants should be pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or computer science, with a 3.0+ GPA and an expected graduation of December 2027 or later.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Develop and implement software for embedded devices and systems.
• Analyze and monitor system efficiency and stability.
• Support software quality assurance and optimize I/O performance.
• Develop, test, and troubleshoot system software.
• Design the first layer of code that runs on devices, requiring full comprehension of hardware.

About You

The company is looking for:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field.
• Expected graduation date of December 2027 or later.
• Commitment to continue enrollment in the degree program upon completion of the internship.
• Validated academic excellence with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Experience or knowledge in embedded systems development using C/C++, ADA, or similar languages.
• Familiarity with software configuration management.
• Experience or knowledge of Matlab, Simulink, LabView, or Python.
• Authorization to work legally in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly base pay range from $24.00 to $45.00, depending on experience and qualifications.
• Relocation benefits and short-term housing provided if assigned work location is 50 miles or more from residence (excluding Puerto Rico and Canada).
