Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related STEM major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co‑op session.
  • Experience with embedded C/C++ software development.
  • Proficient in using Python/MATLAB for signal analysis, test vectors, and prototyping.
  • Experience may be obtained through on‑the‑job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

What You Will Do
  • Design, implement, integrate, and test embedded software for advanced avionics navigation systems

What You Will Learn
  • Core GNSS concepts, including GPS signal structures, tracking algorithms, navigation filters, and PNT system performance
  • Techniques in jamming/spoofing detection, RF threat analysis, and resilient navigation techniques
  • DO‑178C DAL A development and verification practices for safety‑critical avionics
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co‑op session.
  • Experience with embedded C/C++ software development
  • Proficient in using Python/MATLAB for signal analysis, test vectors, and prototyping
  • Experience may be obtained through on‑the‑job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
  • Knowledge of GNSS Fundamentals and navigation systems
  • Understanding of basic algorithms and data structures
  • Working knowledge of SVN and Atlassian tools (e.g. Jira, Jama)

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.

RTX anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date the notice was posted. However, factors such as candidate flow and business necessity may require RTX to shorten or extend the application window.
