Job summary

Talcott Financial Group is seeking an IT intern to support the Information Technology department as a Software Engineering Intern at our Hartford, CT campus. You will gain hands-on experience with Python, SQL, Azure, and MS Fabric while collaborating with software engineers on real projects.

The ten-week summer program offers a weekly hybrid onsite arrangement on Tue/Wed/Thu, enrichment activities, and opportunities to interact with leadership.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field.
• Solid technical proficiency with Python, SQL, React, MS Fabric, Power BI or similar tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data/requirements and translate into technical specs.
• Assist design, develop and test software programs for Talcott’s portfolio.
• Collaborate with software engineers, business users and project managers to deliver outcomes.
• Provide recommendations for continuous improvement and best practices.
• Support engineers to elevate technology and maintain quality.
