Job summary

Pacific Life in Newport Beach, CA is seeking Software Engineering Interns for Summer 2027. You will be embedded in technology teams driving digital transformation and gaining exposure to cloud engineering, software delivery, integration, and information security.

We seek rising undergraduates or graduates, with strong analytical and communication skills, and a passion for learning. Familiarity with Python/Java/C# and AWS or other clouds is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills with a methodical approach.
• Excellent communication skills, able to articulate technical concepts clearly.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.
• Desire for learning new technologies and analytic tools; plus modeling and quantitative techniques.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or C#.
• Familiarity with industry tools and platforms for software delivery and automation.
• Familiarity with at least one cloud platform (AWS preferred; Azure or GCP also considered).
• Passion for solving business problems with code.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to technology delivery and operations to develop and deploy solutions.
• Collaborate with technologists and stakeholders to plan, design, implement and support digital technologies.
• Evaluate business needs and technology solutions to assess fit.
• Gain exposure to enterprise technologies and Agile Scrum delivery practices.
