Job summary

Pacific Life is seeking Software Engineering Interns for Summer 2027 in Newport Beach, CA. You will be embedded in technology teams driving digital transformation across cloud engineering, software delivery, integration, and information security, with Agile practices and collaboration with stakeholders.

You’ll contribute to technology delivery, learn modern enterprise tech, and develop in an enterprise environment. Competitive hourly pay with relocation stipend if applicable.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or another related field.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills with methodical approach.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.
• Ability to work well with others as a team and independently.
• Desire for learning new technologies and analytic tools; as well as modeling and quantitative techniques.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or C#.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Demonstrated passion for solving business problems with code.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to technology delivery and operations teams to develop and deploy solutions in an enterprise environment.
• Collaborate closely with technologists and stakeholders to plan, design, implement and support digital technologies.
• Evaluate business needs and technology solutions to assess fit.
• Be exposed to and develop capability in related enterprise technologies and delivery practices (e.g. Agile scrum).
