Job summary

Rhombus is seeking a summer engineering intern in Sacramento to contribute to real products and the systems behind them. You will work on a scoped project, collaborating with engineers, product managers, and designers to translate user needs into technical solutions.

You will write readable, maintainable code, participate in code reviews, and test and debug with a focus on reliability, performance, security, and user experience. Expect mentorship and a final project presentation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a technical field and graduating by June 2028.
• Foundational knowledge in programming, data structures, algorithms.
• Experience with at least one programming language through coursework or projects.
• Evidence of a project, test, or improvement and the ability to explain it.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Preference for prior internship experience, especially in product development.

Responsibilities

• Develop a scoped engineering project contributing to Rhombus products or the systems behind them.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to translate user needs into technical solutions.
• Write readable, maintainable code; participate in code reviews; and incorporate feedback from teammates.
• Test and debug your work with emphasis on reliability, performance, security, and user experience.
• Document your approach, communicate progress, and present your results and learnings at the end of the program.
