Job summary

Garmin is seeking a part-time Software Engineering Intern at our Manhattan, Kansas office. You will learn to develop software for Garmin's navigation products under supervision in a team-friendly setting.

Responsibilities include learning C/C++/C# or Java, testing with debuggers and simulators, and supporting software releases and QA while gaining hands-on experience in a structured internship program. Associates are expected to integrate, use, and provide feedback on products under development.

Qualifications

• Pursuing degree in CS, EE, CE or related field.
• GPA is typically 3.0 or higher.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience or coursework in C/C++, C#, Java for Garmin business needs.
• Knowledge of data structures or OO design is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn to develop software for Garmin communication and navigation products with guidance.
• Learn to test software using debuggers, emulators, simulators, and logic analyzers.
• Learn to perform software releases and software QA activities.
• Learn to maintain products in production and contribute to new software design.
• Integrate and provide feedback on products in development when possible.
