Job summary

Travelers invites highly motivated engineers to join the Engineering Development Program (EDP) in Hartford, CT. This one-year program places you in one of four tracks: Software, Data, Cybersecurity, or Infrastructure & Cloud, with hands-on projects, learning accelerators, and mentoring to grow technical and leadership skills.

You will explore modern tools and AI-enhanced practices while learning the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.

Qualifications

• GPA 3.0+ preferred.
• Majors include CS, Software Eng, or Comp Eng.
• Exposure to OOP in major languages.
• Experience with algorithms, data structures, systems design, and networking.
• Knowledge of APIs and Web development (REST/GraphQL; modern front‑end like React).
• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL; NoSQL concepts.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to software design by planning, developing, debugging, testing, and documenting software solutions for products and workflows.
• Work within tracks (Software, Data, Cybersecurity, Infra & Cloud) to grow technical and leadership skills.
• Benefit from mentoring, networking, and career guidance within the program.
• Occasional travel for meetings and events is expected.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
