Job summary

Travelers is seeking candidates for the Engineering Development Program (EDP) in Software Engineering. This one‑year program places you in a track—Software, Data, Cybersecurity or Infra & Cloud—combining hands‑on work, immersive learning, and mentoring to accelerate your technical and leadership growth.

You will undergo a five‑week technical accelerator, learn our SDLC and Agile practices, and gain exposure to AI‑assisted tooling while collaborating with Engineers across Travelers.

Qualifications

• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater preferred.
• Majors include Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related discipline.
• Exposure to object‑oriented programming (OOP) in one or more major languages.
• Experience with algorithms, data structures, systems design, and networking.
• Knowledge of APIs and Web Development (RESTful APIs, GraphQL, Eventing) and front‑end tech like React/NextJS.
• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL; NoSQL/document concepts.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, debug, test, troubleshoot, document and implement software solutions.
• Contribute to software design strategy for Travelers products and workflows.
• Leverage AI tools, modern engineering practices and scalable infrastructure services.
• Participate in mentoring, networking and career guidance within the program.
