Job summary

DTCC is hiring a Software Engineer in a hybrid US role focused on building and maintaining enterprise-grade software solutions. You will design, develop, test, and document applications that support internal and client-facing platforms.

Ideal candidates have strong Java and Spring Boot skills, experience with REST APIs, event-driven architectures with Kafka, and solid database knowledge including Oracle SQL and Redis. The team emphasizes CI/CD, monitoring, and secure SDLC practices.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Oracle SQL and Redis for data handling.

Responsibilities

  • Develop applications in compliance with functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Construct unit test cases that ensure compliance with functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Follow design and code standards, contributing to CI/CD and continuous improvement.
  • Create and maintain system documentation.
  • Align risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately.
  • Contribute to the design of components or individual programs.
  • Provide production support for applications as needed.
  • Work with subject matter experts reviewing technical designs and specifications.
  • Apply different software development methodologies dependent on project needs.
  • Work with peers to mature CI/CD and automated delivery processes.

The Impact You will have in this role :

The Development family is responsible for creating, designing, deploying, and supporting applications, programs, and software solutions. May include research, new development, prototyping, modification, reuse, re-engineering, maintenance, or any other activities related to software products used internally or externally on product platforms supported by the firm. The software development process requires in-depth subject matter expertise in existing and emerging development methodologies, tools, and programming languages. Software Developers work closely with business partners and / or external clients in defining requirements and implementing solutions. The Software Engineering role specializes in planning, documenting technical requirements, designing, developing, and testing all software systems and applications for the firm. Works closely with architects, product managers, project management, and end-users in the development and enhancement of existing software systems and applications, proposing and recommending solutions that solve complex business problems.

Your Primary Responsibilities :

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
Talents Needed for Success:
  • Proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming concepts.
  • Experience developing and supporting Spring Boot applications and REST APIs.
  • Understanding of Apache Kafka for event-driven and asynchronous processing.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Database including SQL development, query optimization, and data modeling.
  • Familiarity with Redis for caching, performance optimization, and distributed data storage.
  • Experience using Git and version control best practices.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
  • Exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of application monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting using tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, or similar platforms.
  • Understanding of secure coding practices, vulnerability remediation, and software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
  • Technical Stack experience preferred - Java, SQL, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Kafka, Oracle, Redis, Git, Maven, Jenkins, CI/CD Pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, Agile, Scrum, DevSecOps.
