Job summary

DXC Technology is seeking an Analyst Software Engineer for a Remote, US-facing role with a Connecticut preference. The position focuses on gathering requirements, translating business needs into technical specs, and aligning software solutions with organizational goals while ensuring security and ITAR compliance.

The role offers broad exposure from requirements analysis to system design, QA collaboration, and cross-functional coordination, with a path from entry-level to senior analyst levels

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with programming and query languages such as SQL, Python, Java, or C#, plus database management.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and verbal or written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Gather and document clear project goals and technical specifications by meeting with business leaders and users.
• Analyze existing software architectures to identify performance issues, security gaps, and optimization opportunities.
• Create detailed functional designs, user stories, and Software Requirement Specification (SRS) documents.
• Translate complex technical concepts for non-technical teams and communicate business needs clearly to developers.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to technical standards.
• Coordinate defect tracking with quality assurance teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
• Serve as a cross-functional liaison between business and technical teams.
