Job summary

Akina Inc. in Fort Meade, MD seeks a Software Engineer to develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems across analytics, real-time processing, and data-management domains, based on documented requirements. You will work alone or on a team, review components, test results, and resolve issues.

The position requires a BS in CS or related field (or 4 years of related SWE experience in lieu of a degree) and, for SWE-1, seven years of SWE experience. TS/SCI with polygraph is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline required.
• Four (4) years of additional SWE experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
• Seven (7) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope is required.

Responsibilities

• Develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems.
• Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.
• Resolves software problem reports.
• Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
• Provides input to system design including hardware/software trade offs and use of COTS/GOTS.
