Job summary

Halogen Engineering Group is seeking a Software Engineer to develop, sustain, and troubleshoot GHOSTGEM applications. You will design, test, and integrate software with COTS/FOSS components, working individually or as part of a team.

The role requires 2+ years of experience, TS/SCI with Poly clearance, and hands-on work with Java, Spring, Docker, Git, and NoSQL environments. Onsite at Fort Meade, MD; salary range 175K–181K USD.

Qualifications

• Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux tools.
• Recent software development experience with the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Integration).
• Experience with NoSQL databases including MongoDB.
• Experience with Docker and containerization, Kubernetes for orchestration.
• Familiar with CI/CD principles and tools (Bamboo, GitLab CI).
• Experience with Git source control system.
• Experience with Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence).
• Experience with Helm Charts to deploy containerized services in Kubernetes.
• Experience with Ansible for IaC.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Debug and fix defects in existing software.
• Design, code, test, and deploy software with quality documentation.
• Integrate software with existing systems and data stores.
• Develop data queries for databases and data repositories.
• Lead teams according to project processes and timelines.
• Develop cloud-based solutions and containerized services.
