Job summary

Shield Consulting Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer in Maryland to develop, sustain, and troubleshoot the GHOSTGEM software suite (including DINO).

You will implement, test, and integrate with COTS, GOTS, and FOSS components, while collaborating across teams to ensure reliable deployment. The role requires TS/SCI with Polygraph, 7 years of software engineering experience, and strong Python, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD skills, with a competitive salary and comprehensive

Qualifications

• 7 years of experience as a software engineer
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
• 2 additional years of experience as a software engineer may be substituted for a degree
• Experience with Linux CLI and tools
• Experience developing Bash scripts
• Recent Python (3.x) development experience
• Experience with NoSQL databases including MongoDB
• Experience with Docker and containerd
• Experience with CI/CD, GitLab CI
• Familiar with Kubernetes and Helm charts
• Familiar with RabbitMQ
• Familiar with Ansible
• Experience using Git Source Control System

Responsibilities

• Developing, sustaining, and troubleshooting GHOSTGEM's software suite including DINO
• Performing software development activities: implementation, testing, and integration with other COTS, GOTS, and FOSS products
• Collaborating with teams to ensure reliable deployment and operation
