Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Software Engineer/Principal Software Engineer with strong Java experience to design, develop, and maintain mission-critical software systems supporting NASIC at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

The ideal candidate is an effective communicator and problem solver who can work closely with internal and external stakeholders, contributing to a collaborative team of software, systems, network, and storage engineers across multiple networks and environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 2 years software development experience or a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Active Counter-Intelligence (CI) Polygraph.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in developing Java software (core Java, JEE, Spring).
• Experience with object-oriented design, data structures and algorithms.
• Ability to work in a SCIF and follow security procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based software applications in support of NASIC mission systems.
• Implement new features using modern Java frameworks and tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve defects and performance issues across environments.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and test procedures.
