The Opportunity:

Are you ready to apply your expertise in software development to help shape the future of mission-critical systems? Join our dynamic team in designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge mission management applications built on cloud-native, microservices architectures. As a software developer on this program, you'll collaborate with multiple product teams and immerse yourself in modern development practices, working within an agile framework to support and modernize mission management systems for our customers. Some Continental US and international travel may be required up to 10% as well as surge support.

Responsibilities:
  1. You will focus on developing microservices and a user interface (UI) for data-rich applications with complex workflows.
  2. Your daily work will involve developing and maintaining Linux-based applications using Java and Python.
  3. You'll design and implement software solutions while scripting and automating processes using Bash and other scripting languages.
  4. Your role will involve writing automated tests, deploying to an automated DevSecOps pipeline, and contributing to the technical direction of the project.
  5. You will have excellent technical expertise, to be highly self-directed and motivated, and collaborate respectfully with your teammates, always keeping the user mission first.
  6. You will be part of a responsive team where communication skills and problem-solving are critical to our success.
  7. Foster a culture of sharing information amongst teammates and management.
  8. Be dedicated to mission and product success. Provide support for testing, integration, and deployment of the software baseline.
  9. Be self-motivated, understand technical concepts, have good communication skills, and be willing to collaborate on technical items with the larger team.
  10. Be familiar with good development and configuration management practices and have previous development experience.
Qualifications:

Required:

  • TS/SCI clearance; a Polygraph is preferred.
  • Availability to work in-person at the CACI facility in Sterling, VA.
  • Experience working across the full stack using relevant technologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of software development experience.
  • DoD 8570-compliant certification or ability to achieve within 2 months (e.g., GSEC, Security+ CE, CASP+ CE, CISA, CISSP or Associate).
  • Proficiency with Java, Hibernate, Vue3, JavaScript, CSS, HTML.
  • Experience developing within a Linux environment.
  • Experience with version control systems (git, svn).
  • Experience with scripting languages (Bash, etc.).
  • Experience with microservices (Nomad, Docker, Kubernetes).

Desired:

  • Experience with Agile and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with TDD and automated testing tools.
  • Experience with databases such as Oracle, Elasticsearch, MySQL, Redis.
  • Experience with Git and GitLab.
  • Current Security+ certification.
  • Effective team collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of orchestration and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Nomad, Consul).
  • DevOps experience with Jenkins.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and improve skills.

Pay Range:

The salary range is $85,800 - $180,200, influenced by various factors including location, experience, skills, education, and certifications. We offer comprehensive benefits including healthcare, wellness, retirement, and more. Learn more here.
