Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space is hiring experienced software engineers to join the NGG ReSW ground‑segment team. You will help build and support ground software for the Next Generation OPIR mission, collaborating with multiple teams and operating in a 40‑hour week with on‑call capability.

The role requires skills in Java, Python, C++, SQL, and Angular, with a TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain it. Occasional non‑standard hours and high‑priority fixes are expected in a fast‑paced, mission‑critical

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience with one or more of Java, Python, and C++ programming languages.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Familiarity with Angular framework.
• Proven experience troubleshooting issues in software and infrastructure.
• Ability to work seamlessly in a collaborative multi‑team environment.
• Active Top Secret government clearance with ability to gain TS/SCI non‑polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting issues reported within our Operations domain.
• Fixing high‑priority, high‑visibility issues in real time.
• An on‑call component – occasionally needing to support 24x7 as issues arise within an expected 40‑hour work week.
• Working within a team to design, implement, and test new software capabilities.
• Proficiency in leveraging AI in emerging new ways as it applies to this position and practice.
• Applying the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle
