Job summary

Base, an Austin-based next-generation power company, is seeking a Software Engineer on the Systems Integration team. You will build tools and pipelines that unite hardware, firmware, and software into trusted, scalable products.

You’ll work with Electrical, Mechanical, and Firmware teams to define integration end-to-end, prove it through rigorous software-driven frameworks, and shape how systems integration is done from first principles to implementation.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience with Python, Golang, or bare-metal C/C++, focusing on systems integration.
• Experience building integration tests, automation, and CI/CD pipelines for multi-subsystem software.
• Ability to connect hardware, firmware, and software into reliable products.
• Excellent cross-disciplinary communication and technical influence.

Responsibilities

• Develop new software tools in Python, Go, and C/C++ to accelerate feature development.
• Define and build the integration test pipeline with hardware-in-the-loop and full-system tests on CI runners.
• Lead integration software connecting inverters, batteries, and power systems, including gRPC/HTTP APIs and CAN interfaces.
• Architect and oversee integration test automation, CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with firmware, cloud, and hardware teams to resolve issues and improve reliability.
• Generate detailed integration and system-health reports for compliance and decision-making.
