Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in C# and modern .NET.
• Experience designing and maintaining data-processing apps, background services, APIs, or system integrations.
• Experience working with relational databases and SQL.
• Experience writing automated unit, integration, and component tests.
• Ability to interpret detailed technical documentation and translate it into reliable software behavior.
• Experience maintaining or modernizing established applications without breaking compatibility.
• Experience deploying applications in AWS or comparable cloud environment.
• Proficiency with GitHub and CI/CD tooling.
• Experience applying secure development practices to code and cloud resources.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools for engineering work.
• Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated output.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, compliance specialists, QA engineers, and software engineers to deliver state reporting capabilities.
• Translate state specifications into software requirements, data mappings, validation rules, and test scenarios.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain C# and modern .NET applications.
• Develop workflows that extract data, apply state validation/transformation rules, and generate VBR submissions.
• Build integrations that transmit reports using state-specific formats.
• Diagnose data, validation, and submission failures across workflows.
• Modernize existing .NET apps while preserving regulatory behavior and security.
• Create automated tests that verify rules, transformations, and variations.
• Write maintainable code and contribute to CI/CD pipelines and code reviews.
• Participate in architectural decisions and AI-assisted development practices.
• Ensure security and CJIS compliance of outputs.
• Support production systems with logging, monitoring, and incident response.
