Job summary

Tyler Technologies is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to help build the Civil Process platform in Troy, Michigan. The role emphasizes backend work with C#/.NET, scalable REST APIs, cloud services in AWS, and collaboration with architects, product stakeholders, and designers.

Opportunities exist to contribute to the Angular frontend. You must pass a CJIS fingerprint background check and participate in secure, reliable software delivery.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience developing enterprise applications with C# and .NET.
• Experience designing and building APIs and backend services.
• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases and data modeling.
• Understanding of software design principles, automated testing, and secure development practices.
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced engineering environment.
• Must be able to undergo and satisfactorily pass a fingerprint-based background check in accordance with CJIS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain cloud-native application services using C# and .NET.
• Build and maintain well-designed REST APIs and integrations.
• Contribute to Angular and TypeScript development based on team needs and experience.
• Translate business and technical requirements into secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
• Participate in architectural and technical design decisions, considering performance, reliability, security, data requirements, scalability, and user experience.
• Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews.
• Diagnose and resolve complex application and production issues.
• Improve automated testing, continuous integration, deployment, observability, and overall software delivery practices.
• Provide technical guidance and share knowledge with other members of the engineering team.
• Collaborate with the team to plan work, manage technical tradeoffs, and deliver meaningful customer outcomes.
• Stay current with relevant technologies and recommend improvements where they provide measurable value.
