Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Sunnyvale, CA seeks a HWIL Engineer to operate the Hardware in the Loop Testbed, coordinate integration objectives, and troubleshoot issues in collaboration with Navigation, Guidance & Control and Flight Software teams.

The role involves driving test script enhancements, verifying baselines, and maintaining documentation with strong organizational skills. Occasional coordination across multiple engineering groups is expected.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Linux/Unix environments.
  • Experience on a software development program.
  • Experience with integrating and testing hardware/software products or equivalent technical experience.
  • Python development experience.
  • C++ development experience.
  • US Citizenship Required. Must obtain Secret Clearance.

Core Responsibilities

Key Success Factors
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Conduct testing, capture results, and produce clear reports.
  • Diagnose and resolve software configuration or baseline issues during integration and installation phases.
  • Review problem reports and enhancement requests to assess impacts on testing and regression plans.

Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met.

Basic Qualifications
  • Experience in Linux or UNIX environments.
  • Experience on a software development program.
  • Experience with integrating and testing hardware/software products or equivalent technical experience.
  • Python development experience.
  • C++ development experience.
  • US Citizenship Required. No clearance needed to start. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
Desired Skills
  • Experience with Matlab development.
  • Ability to read and modify Matlab tool.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience developing and maintaining simulation software.
  • Ability to analyze test results and coordinate with SME to verify functionality and.
Requirements

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $122600.00 - $227600.00
