Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive systems engineering experience.
• Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) verification and simulation platforms for mission-critical defense programs.

• Ability to author technical proposals, system architecture documents, and present to senior leadership and customers.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity compliance and SCIF operations.

Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Senior Testbed Architect with a strong software-test background to lead the design, development, and validation of advanced hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and software-in-the-loop (SIL) test environments for the CPS program. The Senior Testbed Architect will define and drive the end-to-end test strategy, integrating real-time simulation, embedded software, and high-fidelity hardware rigs to verify guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) subsystems and autonomous capabilities. Leveraging deep expertise in real-time, fault-tolerant software testing, CI/CD automation, and system-level integration, this role ensures rigorous, repeatable, and secure test processes that meet stringent performance, safety, and schedule requirements within a fast-paced, defense-focused development environment.

Basic Qualifications

• 15+years of progressive systems engineering experience, extensive hands-on experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) verification and simulation platforms for mission-critical defense programs.
• Proven record of leading system architecture, integration, and verification efforts across hardware, software, real-time computing, and telemetry analysis.
• Definition of system architectures, integration strategies, technical roadmaps, and executable program schedules.
• Ability to author technical proposals, system architecture documents, and present to senior engineering leadership and customers.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field
• Familiarity with cybersecurity compliance and SCIF operations.

Desired Skills

• Real-time computing environments (RTOS, Linux-RT, etc).
• Software-test tools and frameworks (LabVIEW, C++, Python, automated test scripts).
• Telemetry acquisition, analysis, and data-driven verification.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $148300.00 - $275500.00
